Agree with Cj Stubbs that these are a bit later than indicated. Now end of March have only just picked the first one. These came through a very hard winter (temps down to minus 13ºC and half metre of snow on three occasions). Outstanding leaf covering over curds - so much so you might even find it difficult to know when they're ready! Beautiful dense white and outstanding flavour. Best cauli I've ever grown.

Have grown these for several years with good results. Not sure they are ready quite as early as the packet says, but perhaps that's just down to our location. Need to protect them against butterflies/caterpillars with fleece or mesh in the early months.

Cauliflower - Mystique Seeds 1020-2407

Very hardy, pure white high quality well protected curds.

Sow Indoors: April-May thinly 1in (2cm) deep in clean trays or modules of firm pre watered compost. Keep soil moist at all times.

Sow Outdoors: May-June thinly 1in (2cm) deep in a seed bed or clean module trays of firm pre watered compost. Keep soil moist at all times.

Thin Out: 4in (10cm) apart.

Plant Out: May-June into the required harvest position 18in (45cm) apart with 18in (45cm) between each row when plants have 3-4 true leaves.

Harvest: February-March

Protect from Cabbage White Butterfly with netting.

Cauliflowers should be grown in firm soil.
