Atlas is an early maturing Paris Market type that has round smooth roots which can be harvested when between 2 and 3cm diameter.
It grows well in any soil and has a good fungal disease resistance. Suitable for freezing.
For early forcing, sow under frames or cloches in February as soil starts to warm. Make outdoor sowings March to April onwards.

Grows well in all soils, ideal for containers.
Sow Outdoors: February-August thinly ½in (1cm) deep in shallow pre-watered drills, in soil that hasn't been manured in the last 12 months. Keep soil moist at all times. (Protect early sowings with cloche or fleece).
Thin Out: 2-3in (5-8cm) apart. Avoid crushing the leaves as the scent attracts carrot root fly.
Harvest: June-November
Surround the carrot bed with a barrier of polythene or fleece at least 60cm high to keep low flying carrot root fly from your crop.
Smooth round roots can be harvested at 2 and 3cm diameter.
