Originating from Eastern Europe this delicious red pointed cabbage has a high sugar content, making it the perfect variety for shredding raw into salads for superb sweetness, crunch and colour.

It has a firm, sold heart and few wasted outer leaves. Colour fades when cooked. For late summer and autumn cutting.

This is an excellent red cabbage. It stands well into the winter and has top flavour. Also I found it was little troubled by cabbage white caterpillars so very easy to grow. Will produce well in relatively shady positions so it fits into my two tier vege garden/orchard systeme

Cabbage - Kalibos Seeds 1020-2247

Sweet, crunchy, perfect for salads.

Sow Indoors: February-March thinly ½in (1cm) deep in clean trays or modules of firm pre watered compost. Keep soil moist at all times.

Sow Outdoors: March-May, thinly ½in (1cm) deep in a seed bed. Keep soil moist at all times. Protect from frost.

Thin Out: 4in (10cm) apart.

Plant Out: May-June and March into the required harvest position 18in (45cm) apart with 18in (45cm) between each row when plants have 3-4 true leaves.

Harvest: August-October.

Protect from Cabbage White Butterfly with netting.
