Growing Calendar for Brussels Sprout Crispus - Plants
Delivery: Early May to Mid May
This is a superb sprout variety it is vigorous with excellent standing ability. The small, tight buttons are a lovely dark green with good flavour.
Our Brussels Sprout varieties have each been selected for their superb flavour. They're also an excellent source of vitamin C, folic acid and are high in antioxidants.
To grow tightly packed sprouts, firm fertile soil is essential. Dig in plenty of well-rotted manure or compost as early as possible to give the soil the maximum time to settle.
Im afraid that some of the sprout plants were crushed, battered and barely alive. I will not be ordering plants from this site again.
Product arrived well packaged but that was about it. Plants were fatigued and had already started to turn yellow. Planted immediately but they are struggling to get going even though they have had feed. I'm really disappointed with the quality. I expected more as I paid a higher price than I would at a garden centre.
