Growing Calendar for Blackberry Reuben - Plants
Delivery: Early August to Early May
Blackberry Reuben is Britains's First Primocane Blackberry.
Blackberry Reuben produces fruit in year one - this is because it is Britain's first Blackberry that will fruit on the first year's growth!
It has an upright growth habit with compact fruit-bearing laterals, which makes picking easier and hence makes it a garden friendly variety.
Reuben crops from late August and wil continue fruiting right up to the first frosts - in fact you can prolong the fruiting by giving some fleece protection when night begin to turn colder.
The large fruits can be up to twice the size of most garden varieties and a fully mature plant can yield up to 3.5kg fruit! Delicious in pies, puddings and jams, Reuben is wonderfully sweet, eaten fresh straight from the plant.
Supplied as 9cm pot grown plant.
