Bavarian Fig - Violetta Tree

Trials on the continent show this may well be the most frost resistant of all figs, having proved hardy to -20C, a temperature seldom experienced in British winters!

Violetta produces a heavy crop of sweet, tasty figs as early as July.

If you have never tasted fresh figs, you are missing one of the most delicious fruits in the world, and we urge you to try this outstanding new variety.

We normally despatch bare root fruit trees from late January/early February through to mid/late March. However if conditions are particularly favourable we may start despatching some varieties from mid/late November.

This is an absolutely fantastic plant. Has cropped from the first year. Delicious fruit which ripen fully on the tree. Has survived last two winters in Cambs fens with no problems. Beats Brown Turkey hands down.

This tree arrived with 3 small pee sized figs already attached, two of these grew into full figs by the end of July. The tree is a prolific grower, I planted it in an old water tank, give it plenty of water and a nitrogen feed one week and a potash feed the next through the summer. It is now fan trained 2 meters tall and 1.5 meters across, by the end of September I had a second crop of almost 20 figs with more pee sized figs ready for next year.
