Apple Worcester Pearmain - Apple Tree

  • Catalogue Code 1070-5027
  • Pack Contents: 1 bare root tree

Worcester Pearmain is classic English early-season apple, it remains ever popular as a garden variety of apple.

The fruits are fairly small and become a pretty bright red colour when the sun catches them, the blossoms that appear in the spring are a beautiful feature.

The flavour is very excellent and sweet for an early variety of apple and in a good year you can notice the subtle strawberry flavour for which this classic variety is well known.

As with most early-season varieties of apple, Worcester Pearmain does not keep very well. It is best enjoyed when eaten straight off of the tree. You can store the Pearmain apples in your fridge for up to a week.

Although it is always considered to be a dessert apple variety, Worcester Pearmain is also a good variety for being used as a stewed apple.

The variety is a tough and hardy type and is a very strong performer and a heavy cropper which does exceptionally well in most areas across the UK.
