The First Choice of Prize Winning Gardeners & Lovers of Real Food
My AccountWe are delighted to be able to offer trees propagated from the original tree in Nottinghamshire, but grafted on a very dwarf rootstock (M27).
It might be a couple of years or so before you can start enjoying the authentic taste and texture of the original, but we know it will be well worth the wait.
Pick from early/mid October.
Rootstock: M27

I've had this tree 3 seasons and it has grown exceedingly well and produced lots of useable fruit. This year it blew over so I should have put a bigger stake in! The tree is covered in fruit again so have actually had to thin some out. I reccomend this cooking apple without reservation, but hope it doesn't get as big as the original tree!
This is the first apple tree I''ve ever grown. I planted it in February and had 4 apples, one of which I was able to use. I think this is good for the first year. It is near to other apple trees (on an allotment) so I think this probably helps. I don''t know what happened to the other 3 apples as they completed disappeared so I suspect they were ''collected'' by our wildlife friends! Can recommend.
August is primarily about harvesting your crops, but there are still some vegetables that can be sown and planted out!
