Apple Rosette is a natural sport of discovery and develops a beautiful rich red skin colour which penetrates deep into the flesh.
Rosette has a crisp, juicy texture with a fresh raspberry flavour. The habit is naturally compact requiring little attention and it flowers profusely from the first year of planting producing very heavy crops.
It is known as Rosette for the rosette type pattern of the marbled pink coloured flesh inside when you cut the apple open. Rosette is considered the best pink-fleshed apples available and is also especially easy to grow.
The red colour inside Rosette appears unusual since most apple varieties have a white-cream coloured flesh and this certainly means that Rosette is very eye-catching and a good talking point! The pink flesh does not brown anywhere near as quickly as normal apples either which means this variety will give interesting colour and will stay attractive in savoury or fruit salads - a dash of lemon juice will help keep the browning away for even longer.
Rosette produces very attractive pink coloured apple juice. It’s juice is of a very high quality and has a mouthwatering sweet and sharp flavour.

In order to ensure a good pollination pick fruit trees from within the same or from adjacent flowering groups.
The vast majority of the trees we ship have been pruned and will appear trimmed.
I'm certainly very happy with the quality of this bare root tree and the condition it arrived in but trees take many years so I'm not sure I can really give anything that will be helpful; but I am happy.
